Yes, I know how old this game is. But it's pretty much all I play on the X360 anymore.
I'm kind of a fan of being able to just jump on and play for a few minutes, then leave again. I've been
playing the same map in this game for years for just this reason. I'm in it for the mindless kill kill kill.
So it's actually surprising that I stumbled upon a new strategy that I really like. When I first spawn now,
I select the profile with the grenade launcher, and I aggressively attack the aliens as they're landing. This
is a huge contrast to my usual strategy of hanging back with a sniper rifle and picking them off from atop
the silos.
I play it so aggressively that I really do care too much if my player dies — because when I respawn I
will do so as my usual sniper, and I'll pick up that lovely grenade launcher. Now, armed with both a
grenade launcher and a sniper rifle, I've got the best of both worlds!
