Styx is releasing their first album in 14 years next month. What makes me happiest about this release
is that Lawrence Gowan, a terrific performer who stepped in to replace Dennis DeYoung, played for us a
solo piece at the concert that had us mesmerized — and that piece is on the upcoming album.
The song, titled Khedive, was named by his father after the ship he served upon in WWII.
