It was like being in a time machine. I was transported back to my bedroom, standing
in front of my stereo, rocking out to "Fight Fire with Fire" on my Best of Kansas cassette.
The band completely rocked last night. They played for an hour, plus a little more in their encore --
which of course was closed with "Carry On My Wayward Son". The band played absolutely
masterfully, even welcoming Kerry Livgren to the stage for one song — I think it was "Dust in
the Wind". The band seemed to play a similar set list as was featured in their 2009 release,
There's Know Place Like Home — even including
"Belexes" and "Down the Road".
