The "jailbreaking" thing just wasn't working out. I used the software only
to make minor cosmetic changes to the unit — simple changes that were quite nice —
but apparently at the cost of applications hanging before closing, and crashes which
forced the unit into safe mode. The black slider bar was pretty and all, but not
worth the hassle. So I upgraded the OS to the new version, which erased blackra1n
and winterboard. Yeah, the phone looks like every other iPhone now, but it's behaving
as it should.
